What is CET Delhi ?

1. CET Delhi is organized by the Department of Training and Technical Education, Delhi.
2. It is a state level entrance exam which offers admission in diploma courses in the field of Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and various other fields.
3. To get admission, candidates have to qualify the entrance exam with minimum qualifying marks.
4. Candidates successfully qualifying the entrance test will get admission into various government as well as private polytechnic institutions/colleges located in Delhi.
5. CET is conducted in second-third week of May.


What is the Application Fee for CET Delhi?

1. All the interested applicants have to pay INR 400/- as application fee and have to pay additional
charges.
2. The application fee can be paid through Credit/Debit card or Net Banking or through Challan in any
branch of Corporation Bank of India.
3. Candidates must remember that fee will not be regressed (Not Refundable).


What is the last date of Polytechnic Form 2020 Delhi?

The Application Form filling will begin from 3rd Week of March. The Application Forms for CET Delhi 2020 can be filled till 30 April 2020.


What is the Application Fees for Lateral Entry in B.Tech ?

Applicants have to pay INR 1000 (One Thousand Rupees) as an Application Fees to appear in LEET. Lateral Entry in B.Tech are available in Haryana LEET, UP LEET. For Delhi LEET, One can apply for DTU (Delhi Technological University) and GGSIP (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University).

What is Spot Round ?

After 4th round of counselling, vacancies(if any) due to cancellation or any other reason for all programmes will be computed and notified along with the schedule and venue of Spot round on the website.


What is Freeze Option ?

If the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her and does not want to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling for up-gradation, he/she must FREEZE his/her allotted seat by clicking the freeze option available in his/her account within the specified time period else his/her next higher preferences will be considered automatically for Up gradation in all subsequent rounds of counsellings.


How many seats are reserved for Delhi and Outside Delhi Region?

85% of the total sanctioned intake of Government and Government aided and Private self financing Institutions shall be filled-up by candidates who have passed the qualifying examinations from schools located in Delhi.15% seats shall be filled-up by candidates passing the qualifying examinations from the schools located Outside Delhi.


If selected English medium for appearing in then Entrance but now wants to give Entrance in Hindi or any other language, then What can one do? (JEE MAINS)

Such candidates are required to do the correction in the application form. In Computer Based examination, candidates can choose the medium during the examination.


What action will be taken, if the candidate has submitted more than one application ? (JEE MAINS)



ANSWER


In this case only one admit card will be issued to the candidate. Candidates are required to send an e-mail to jeemain@nic.in mentioning both the application numbers and specifying clearly the application number which they want to be considered.


If candidate is appearing in 12th class examination in 2020 or improvement examination in 2020,then what to enter in roll number field ?

It is not necessary to enter the roll number, if roll number is provided then fill it other leave it empty.


What is new in JEE MAINS 2020 ?



ANSWER


NTA (National Testing Agency) has announced that Paper 2 of JEE Main 2020 will be conducted separately for B.Arch and B.Plan. Instead of drawing section, B.Plan examination will have a section with questions on Planning. The application process has also been changed by the authorities and the fee can be paid only in online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI/PayTM). The application fee has also been changed for all categories. The number of exam centers has also decreased to 231 Indian cities and 9 foreign cities. In the previous year, the total number of Indian exam cities were 264. Candidates can also change their exam centers through JEE Main application form correction facility.


What is the new change in JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch) eligibility?

Candidates who wish to apply for admission through JEE Mains 2020 Paper II (B.Arch) need to have scored 50% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% aggregate marks in 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. This information has been notified by Council of Architecture to NTA.


How many attempts can I give in JEE Main?

The total number of attempts will be six, since the examination is held twice a year and the candidates originally have a maximum of three attempts.


I have no access to a computer and no experience with online exams. How can I prepare for the exam?



ANSWER


More than 4000 schools and engineering colleges with internet and computer facilities in every region will be facilitating free practice sessions on every Saturday and Sunday for JEE Main 2020 aspirants. Student registration has to be done in online mode.


Is it mandatory to give the exam twice or can I give once? If I give the exam both the times, which score will be considered?

This will be purely the candidate's choice. Whether he/she wishes to give one attempt or two is entirely up to them. In case they have attempted both the exams, the better of the two scores will be used for the purpose of ranking in the merit list.


Which are the participating institutes of JEE Main 2020?

From 2019, 2 IIITs and 5 CFTIs have been added to the list of JEE Main participating institutes. Therefore, JEE Main 2020 qualified candidates will be able to apply for admission into 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 CFTIs.


What percentile is required for SC category student in JEE MAINS to get admission in NIT ?

First of all, qualifying JEE mains doesn't means that you will get admission in NIT although you are eligible for the counseling , admission will depend upon your rank and you know there are around 20-25 ( approximately)thousand seats in the NIT s . So you should require to secure a good percentile more than 97-98 percentile for a good college .

As per last year you should score more than 55-60 percentile for the qualifying but everytime you need to secure a good percentile score for a good NIT .

How many questions do I have to answer in CET 2020? What will be the duration of test? The

The test will of 100 MCQ objective-type questions in CET 2020. The duration of CBT will be of 2.30 hours (150 minutes).

How much is CET 2020 Application Fee and what is the procedure for fee payment?



ANSWER


CET application fee needs to be paid by Net Banking/Credit or Debit Cards. Application fee for each programme chosen in the Form is INR 1200/- individually. The applicant would be guided through the integrated Payment Gateway on the official website for completing the transaction.


Can a centre be allotted by the GGSIPU manually?



ANSWER


No, the centre will be allotted automatically as per preference and availability.


Is there any Negative Marking in the CET 2020? (GGSIPU)



ANSWER


In CET 2020 every correct answer is awarded +4 marks while every wrong answer will attract a penalty of -1 mark. However, for Ph.D and M.Phill programs, there is no penalty or negative marking for wrong answers.


In case the Photograph does not carry Name & Date of the Photograph, would the form be rejected?



ANSWER


1. The Application form will not be rejected in this case because it is not mandatory to mention Name & Date in Photograph. Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly. Polaroid and Computer generated photos are not acceptable.

2. Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected. Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph uploaded is fabricated i.e. re-shaped or seems to be manipulated by hand or computer, the application of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means and the candidate would be dealt with accordingly.

3. Candidates are advised to take 3 passport size colour photographs with clear white background.

4. The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph for uploading. File size must be between 10 kb to 100 kb.


When will be Admit Card (CET) / Registration Card (Non-CET) be issued?

For all CET programs, the Admit Cards will be issued 07 days before the exam and for all non-CET programs, a separate notification will be issued.


Will GGSIPU provide any Technical assistance to candidates who are going to appear in CET 2020 ?

GGSIPU has set-up Technical Helpdesk to provide support to the appearing candidates of CET 2020. Candidates may call on helpline number 022-68202727 for any technical support on all working days (Monday to Friday) from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.


Is there any provision for rechecking or re-evaluation of Final Answer Key and Score Card after the declaration of result ?

The result will be declared on the basis of Final Answer Keys. There shall be no re-evaluation/ re-checking of result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.


Is there any provision in GGSIPU to check the Response Sheet or Recorded Responses of the candidate after CET Exam?



ANSWER


GGSIPU has provided the facility to view the Question Paper and Recorded Responses. This facility will be available on GGSIPU website after the examinations for objection management only for 03 days. In this regard, communication will be sent through SMS and registered mail. During objection management, student can raise their objection about the question/ its answer options, if any by paying the requisite fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred).


Will GGSIPU provide Mock Test for all the programs of CET 2020 Examination?



ANSWER


The standard Mock Test of CET is available on GGSIPU website to familiarize about the online Computer Based Testing. Said mock test will go live after issue of the admit cards.


I have no access to a computer and no experience with Computer Based Examination. How can I prepare for the exam?



ANSWER


A link will be available on the GGSIPU website for online Mock Test. The mock test facility is only for practice purpose and in order to familiarize with the online Computer Based Testing procedure. It is clarified that demo/ mock online tests are purely for practice purpose and not concerned with pattern of CBT examination. Candidate can practice for the same in Internet CAFÉ shops, in case he/ she has no computer.


What do the candidates need to bring to the exam center ?



ANSWER


The candidate is required to bring the following at the examination centre (Also read the Information Bulletin carefully):-
1. Admit Card preferable in color print and also bring transparent body Pen.
2. Three passport size photograph to be affixed on attendance sheet and other if required.
3. Original Photo ID proof issued by Govt. authority.

Candidates are advised not to bring any other item in the examination centres. There will be no arrangement for safe keeping of any material at the centre. Neither GGSIPU nor centre will be responsible for any loss, delay etc.


What if one does not get Admit Card.



ANSWER


Admit cards will not be sent to candidates by post, it will be uploaded on the website. Candidates need to download the Admit Card from the website only. In case of any difficulty, mail us on helpdesk email ipucet2020@gmail.com Without carrying valid admit card, no entry will be allowed to the examination premises.

Can a candidate change the examination centre after allotment of roll number?



ANSWER


No, Examination Centre cannot be changed in any case.


If a candidate for any reason has not appeared in the examination, is there any provision for fee refund ?



ANSWER


No. Once the online application form is submitted successfully by the candidate, it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained under any circumstances.
